Inhibitor OP8410

Inhibitor OP8410 is a liquid, phosphate-containing product designed to enhance corrosion protection in mill supply water systems, once through cooling systems and open recirculating systems. This product contains phosphate to develop the optimal inhibitor level cost effectively. This product can be fed at a variety of feed rates depending on the application and the water chemistry. The phosphate film formed inthese programs provides excellent protection for mild steel.

- Mild steel corrosion inhibitor
- Excellent phosphate source for treatments
DESCRIPTION AND USE
Inhibitor OP8410 is a liquid, phosphate-containing product designed to enhance corrosion protection in mill supply water systems, once through cooling systems and open recirculating systems. This product contains phosphate to develop the optimal inhibitor level cost effectively. This product can be fed at a variety of feed rates depending on the application and the water chemistry. The phosphate film formed inthese programs provides excellent protection for mild steel.
TREATMENT AND FEEDING REQUIREMENTS
Dosage – The optimal dosage of Inhibitor OP8410 is a function of the corrosivity of the water to be treated, application conditions and the specific application. For best performance, this product should be fed continuously. While the typical dosage is 6 to 20 ppm (mg/L) for an once-through application, this product is to be used in accordance with control procedures that GE Betz establishes for a specific application. This product is also extensively used as a phosphate source for programs like Dianodic III and Continuum AEC technologies.
Dilution – Inhibitor OP8410 may be fed directly from the shipping container or diluted to any convenientstrength.
Feed Equipment – Tanks, pumps, piping, and valves should be made of 316 stainless steel and mild steel or most common plastics. Avoid the use of mild steel and copper alloys.
Monitoring – A photometric procedure can be used to monitor the orthosphosphate concentration in the treated water.
