DESCRIPTION AND USE

FloGard MS6207 is a liquid, zinc-containing product designed to enhance corrosion protection in mill supply water systems and once through cooling systems. Zinc functions by forming a barrier film at the cathodic site of the corrosion cell. While zinc can form this film alone by precipitating as the hydroxide, it is normally applied with a phosphate-based product.

TREATMENT AND FEEDING REQUIREMENTS

The optimal dosage of FloGard MS6207 is a function of the corrosivity of the water to be treated and other conditions particular to a given installation. For best performance, this product should be fed continuously. This product is to be used in accordance with control procedures that GE Betz establishes for a specific application.

FloGard MS6207 may be fed directly from the shipping container.

A photometric procedure can be used to monitor the zinc concentration in the treated water.

PACKAGING INFORMATION

FloGard MS6207 is a liquid blend, supplied in 55 gallon (208-liter), bung-type, nonreturnable steel drums. In addition, it is also available under the GE Betz Semi Bulk Control  and Point Of Feed

Delivery Programs for contracted quantities in certain geographic areas.

STORAGE

Protect from freezing. If this product is frozen during shipment or storage, slight mixing may be required to ensure homogeneity.
