DESCRIPTION AND USE
DIANODIC DN2200 is a special blend of organic and inorganic inhibitors. This product is designed to control corrosion and scale formation in open recirculating cooling water systems and is intended to be used with DIANODIC DN2300. DIANODIC DN2200 also contains an inhibitor especially suited for use with copper metallurgy.
This product and its use for corrosion inhibition in aqueous systems is covered by U.S. Patent 3,837,803.
DIANODIC DN2200 is a non-heavy metal corrosion inhibitor used with DIANODIC DN2300 to comprise the DIANODIC II treatment approach. When
applied, this program promotes the formation of a persistent, passivating gamma iron oxide film on steel heat transfer surfaces. In combination, these products provide excellent corrosion protection.
The DIANODIC II treatment approach uses organic dispersants to control fouling caused by suspended solids and precipitated salts. DIANODIC DN2200 also contains an organic copper corrosion inhibitor which permits DIANODIC II treatment programs to offer excellent corrosion control and deposit control in systems containing steel, copper and copper bearing alloys.
TREATMENT AND FEEDING REQUIREMENTS
Proper treatment levels for DIANODIC DN2200 depend on many factors, such as the corrosion and scaling potentials and conditions particular to a given installation. This product should be used in accordance with control procedures that BetzDearborn establishes for a specific application.
The product may be fed directly from the drum or it may be diluted if necessary. For consistent system protection, feed must be continuous. Liquid-side components of the feeding system should be constructed of steel or PVC.
