DESCRIPTION AND USE

DeposiTrol PY505 is a special organic deposit control agent that is particularly effective in controlling phosphate deposition in open recirculating systems. It also aids in controlling deposition of calcium carbonate, calcium phosphonate, calcium sulfate, iron and silt. The use of this product for the control of the formation and/or deposition of certain materials is covered by U.S. Patent 4,029,577.

DeposiTrol PY505 is a very effective dispersant and a patented calcium phosphate scale inhibitor.

DeposiTrol PY505 can be used to supplement the dispersant in either GE Betz Dianodic II® soluble phosphate programs or GE Betz Alkaline Technology high-pH programs. DeposiTrol PY505 can be used as an adjunct to any other program where fouling is a problem.

Figure 1 demonstrates the superior performance of DeposiTrol PY505 as compared to the traditional calcium phosphate deposit control products.

TREATMENT AND FEEDING REQUIREMENTS

Proper treatment levels for DeposiTrol PY505 depend on many factors particular to a given installation. The product should be used in accordance with control procedures GE Betz establishes for a specific application. DeposiTrol PY505 may be fed directly from the drum or it may be diluted if necessary. Mild steel tanks, pumps and piping should be avoided.

STORAGE

The product should be stored at moderate temperatures and protected from freezing. If frozen, thaw completely and mix thoroughly prior to use.
